Formed in 2016 and based at the Royal Academy of Music, the Amanzi Quartet comprises of
musicians from the UK, China and Poland. Over the past two years they have established
themselves as an engaging ensemble who have most notably achieved success as prize winners
in the St Martin-in-the-Fields Chamber Music Competition 2018. They regularly work with
acclaimed artists such as Joanna MacGregor, Adrian Brendel, James Sleigh, and Andrew West, and have received coaching from Bengt Forsberg and Sung Won Yang.

 The members of the Amanzi Quartet, Veronica Marziano (Violin), Katie Perrin (Viola), Leah Leong (Cello) and XinRu Chen (Piano), have been the prize winners and finalists in many competitions, such as the Maurice Hasson and Emol Competitions in Caracas, the Yamaha Foundation of Europe Competition, and the Bath Young Musician of the Year Competition. They are also recipients of many scholarships, including the Warsaw Pope John Paul II Scholarship, a full scholarship at Wells Cathedral School and entrance scholarship at the Royal Academy of Music.

 In addition to performing in the Academy, the Quartet give concerts across London and partake in outreach projects with the aim of making classical music more accessible. The quartet are keen to discover compositions outside of the mainstream repertoire and have recently performed the Noskowski Piano Quartet at the Royal Academy of Music’s Summer Piano Festival. In February, the Quartet performed in the David Josefowitz Recital Hall as part of the Royal Academy of Music lunchtime concert series and were selected as the 2019 Concordia Foundation Artists.
