“We are very much looking forward to this exciting concert, starting the evening with a piece from Benjamin Franklin’s time: Glück’s masterpiece The Dance of the Blessed Spirits, from his most famous opera Orphée and Eurydice. After this, we will bring a variety of styles, including works by French and Italian composers. In this recital, we aim to reflect Franklin's creative way of thinking in our musical selection and interpretation.” Anna and Lise.
BIOGRAPHIES
ANNA KONDRASHINA - FLUTE
Anna Kondrashina is a prizewinner of several prestigious competitions, such as the Kobe International Flute Competition in Japan and the Nicolet International Flute Competition in China. In 2018 Anna has joined the London Philharmonic Orchestra Foyle Future Firsts Development Programme. Anna is currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London with William Bennett.
LISE VANDERSMISSEN - HARP
Lise Vandersmissen, born in 1996 in Belgium, studied for her bachelor’s Degree with Lieve Robbroeckx in Belgium and completed her Master’s Degree with Imogen Barford at the Guildhall School of Music in London. In September, she will continue as a Fellow in the Guildhall.
Lise won prizes in competitions in Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, Hungary, Hong Kong and England. She recently won the Third Prize at the North London Harp Competition 2019 and was awarded the Guildhall Harp Prize 2019. She won a place at the London Sinfonietta Academy 2018 and the Académie Camac in France with Isabelle Perrin.
