Sofia Castillo
Sofia Castillo has recently graduated from the Royal College of Music, London in a Master of Performance as a Doctor Knobel Fund Scholar with Sue Thomas, Celia Chambers and Stuart McIlwham. She was awarded the 2017 RCM Solo Flute Prize and The Edward and Helen Hague Senior Woodwind Prize and is proud to be a Concordia Foundation Artist.

Sofia has recently been appointed a chair with the Sinfonia Cymru. She has also performed with orchestras including YMSO, Hastings Philharmonic, Royal Orchestral Society, Orion Orchestra, Westminster Opera Orchestra, the National Youth Jazz Orchestra and International Opera Theatre Orchestra of Philadelphia. Working with conductors such as Vladimir Jurowski, Thomas Zehetmair, Nicholas Collon, Martin Andre and Garry Walker. Last Christmas Sofia performed with the Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra in Beirut with the Peace and Prosperty Trust to fundraise and provide musical instruments for displaced Syrian children, culminating in a performance at a refugee school in the Beqaa Valley. 

She has premiered and recorded works by various composers and has done numerous recordings for short films , video games and documentaries such as the BBC ‘Horizon’ programme, the audio production/software company ‘Auddict’ and the Musical Productions 'Rainfall'.

Simone Tavoni
Simone has completed recently a Master of Performance at the Royal college of Music in London and has given solo recitals internationally, including the United Kingdom, Denmark, Hungary, France, Germany, Spain, Malta, Greece and across Italy. He has featured as a soloist with international orchestras and performance venues have included the Liszt House (Budapest, Hungary), Florence Conservatory Concert Hall (Florence, Italy), the Royal Festival Hall, Victoria & Albert Museum, Regent Hall, St. James’ Piccadilly (London. U.K.), and Hausmusik of Aarhus (Aarhus, Denmark).
In 2016, Tavoni has been awarded a place on the BBC Pathway scheme and performed as a member of the BBC Symphony orchestra and his performances were recorded by BBC Radio 3.
